What is Campergy?

Campergy is the result of DIYer Andrew's quest to make a slick solar panel mounting system.  Initially, it was just a project for Andrew's weekender until other vanagon owners thought the concept was pretty slick too.  Andrew then took the next step with a local laser machine shop, and refined the design for small batch production.  A complementary set of wiring and solar panel kits came shortly after to round out the offerings for DIYers. 

Today, Campergy maintains that DIYer focus and strives to provide a unique and versatile solar energy solution for the vanagon community. 

Who is Campergy? 

From design, to sourcing, to production, and from ordering, to shipping, to product support, Andrew is the owner/engineer that does it all.  He strives to make sure that the vanagon owners get what they need: good quality at the best value possible. Buying from Campergy is a basic, no frills service that gets the job done.   

Andrew has had german cars driving through his veins since he was a wee boy, watching and participating in countless Beetle, Karmann Ghia, 356 and 911 repairs. His first vehicle and restoration endeavor was a '67 Karmann Ghia with a TIV motor.

Professionally, he launched his working career at Audi of America as a Product Support Engineer and proceeded to evolve into Product Safety Engineering at Volkswagen Group of America.  He continues to work in the automated vehicle industry, but still roams the countryside and camps in his weekender.   In between it all, Andrew endeavors to make the best solar kits for vanagons.
