This kit includes a fully prepared 100W solar panel and wiring to the solar controller with the integrated wiring kit added onto the panel. If you order a locking bracket kit, the panel you receive will already be modified for the lock.
The sealed locking circular connector makes it quick and easy to connect and disconnect the panel in one quick motion when removing or re-installing the panel. The connector locking mechanism ensures the connection remains sealed and will not apart while driving or inadvertently tugged on. A fuse is also included on the panel.
The solar panel and brackets create a 19.6” x 42.2” x 2.9” (498mm x 1074mm x 73mm) storage compartment thats great for fitting outdoor items that can be exposed to the weather.
Installation
The recommended path requires one hole in the rear luggage rack wall to install the solar panel power port and one hole in the van body to be drilled under the luggage rack bottom into the space above the headliner panel.
The cable is further routed down the B-Pillar and out an existing port near the bottom under the kitchen sink or behind the jump seat on weekenders. If you aren’t interested in drilling those two holes, you can order the brackets only and determine your preferred method to get the wires to the solar controller.
